Hi, I’m Stephanie.

I offer mental health counseling services in Washington State. I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University in Seattle and a BA in History from the University of Washington.

I bring a warm, genuine presence to counseling. I value connection and have an incurable curiosity about people and the world around us. As a native to the greater Seattle area, I feel a deep connection to the PNW and all it has to offer.

I am an avid reader, animal lover, traveler, and a (self-proclaimed) connoisseur of Italian food. In my spare time, you may find me catching up with friends over coffee, walking my dog, or attempting to keep my growing collection of house plants alive.

Prior to counseling, I spent 15 years working in corporate environments. I learned that you can succeed on paper, but struggle underneath. I know what it’s like to push through relentless deadlines and to carry stress that never quite turns off.

This experience gave me an appreciation for how heavy life can feel when you’re struggling – whether that weight comes from a demanding job, a difficult period of life, or simply the quiet sense that something is missing.

I’ve been there.

How I Can Help

I work with individuals (13+) in Washington state. People come to therapy for all types of reasons; sometimes it’s easy to name - a career change, low mood - and sometimes it’s not. Sometimes you just feel off, need a new perspective, or simply someone to listen.

I offer a safe, empathetic, judgement-free environment in which together we can explore challenges like:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Depression and low mood

  • Identity and self-worth

  • Life transitions and major changes

  • Relationship patterns and dynamics

Each phase of life offers its own unique set of opportunities and challenges. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to do it alone.

My Approach

Sessions with me are more like a conversation than a formal, structured process - relaxed, exploratory, and moving at whatever pace feels right for you. There is no “right way” to do therapy, and no pressure to perform or be anything except yourself. You are the expert on your life, so my goal isn't to have all the answers, but simply to walk with you as you find yours.

During our sessions, I may pull from different therapeutic methodologies, including:

Narrative Therapy

Let’s examine you apart from your problems and how you view your own life story.

Acceptance and Commitment

We will aim to accept life’s difficulties, defining your core values, and live with intention.

Cognitive Behavioral

Learn new tools & coping strategies to manage difficult thoughts and behaviors.

Mindfulness

We will practice centering on the here and now and coming back to ourselves with our breath.

Nervous? Understandable – it can feel like a big step to start therapy. But you don’t have to have it all figured out.

You just have to start.
